Wild Light at Hewnoaks
Aug. 22, 2026 @ Hewnoaks. Join us for the fifth annual Wild Light at Hewnoaks – a day of art, music, and community on the lake, featuring work by Maine-based artists. Explore the grounds, meet our alumni artists, and experience Hewnoaks the way it’s meant to be experienced: surrounded by people, art, and the landscape that shapes both. Free and open to the public!

Sustaining Sessions at Hewnoaks
Sept. 27 – 30 & Oct. 1 – 4, 2026. The Sustaining Sessions are two new back-to-back fall residency sessions (or a full week-long session at a discounted rate!) bringing together a small cohort of artists on the shores of Kezar Lake during the height of Maine’s foliage season. With no application, no jury, and no selection process, your spot is guaranteed the moment you reserve it.

Opening Session at Hewnoaks
May 23 – May 28, 2026. Opening Session is a focused, hands-on stewardship session designed to welcome more artists and community members into our orbit while helping us prepare the property for the season ahead. It is intentionally structured so that stewardship tasks are front-loaded, gradually giving way to more expansive studio time as Hewnoaks wakes up from winter.
