Announcing Hewnoaks’ 2026 Artists-In-Residence

Lovell, ME, May 11, 2026 — Hewnoaks is honored to announce its invited artists for the 2026 summer residency season. Beginning in just a few short weeks, our cabins on the eastern shore of Kezar Lake in Lovell, Maine, will once again open their doors to a cohort of writers, visual artists, musicians, performance artists, and multidisciplinary practitioners – each arriving with their own questions, projects, and creative ambitions, and each given the unencumbered time and space to explore them.

Aug. 22, 2026 @ Hewnoaks. Join us for the fifth annual Wild Light at Hewnoaks – a day of art, music, and community on the lake, featuring work by Maine-based artists. Explore the grounds, meet our alumni artists, and experience Hewnoaks the way it’s meant to be experienced: surrounded by people, art, and the landscape that shapes both. Free and open to the public!
