Finding Voice: A Food & Memoir Writing Workshop with Kathy Gunst

Join James Beard award–winning writer Kathy Gunst for a week of food writing and memoir exploration at Hewnoaks. This workshop blends daily guided sessions with generous free time, shared meals, and the natural beauty of Kezar Lake. Writers of every level are invited.

Birds & Muses – All Stages Writing Residency

This week-long collaborative residency between Hewnoaks and Birds & Muses invites women-identified, femme, trans, and nonbinary writers at all stages of development, from early generative explorations of a project through advanced drafts of a long-form manuscript, and anywhere in between.
