Tucked just beyond the crest of the hill leading down to the waterfront, Pine Clad is a cozy two-bedroom, one-bath cottage nestled at the end of a private driveway. Set back from the road and surrounded by dense foliage, it is the most secluded of the Hewnoaks cabins, offering an intimate retreat immersed in nature.
Built in 1950, later than many of the other cottages, Pine Clad still embraces the vernacular charm of the property with its sawn oak cladding and exposed rafter tails.
Inside, it shares unique details with the rest of Hewnoaks, including intricately painted ceilings, while maintaining a snug, quintessential Maine cabin feel. The central living space is warm and inviting, making it an ideal sanctuary for focused work or quiet relaxation.
One of Pine Clad’s defining features is its generously sized screened porch, often repurposed as a studio space.
This airy, versatile area extends the living space into the outdoors, providing a tranquil setting for creative work, contemplation, or simply taking in the surrounding woodland views.
